Exercise is one of the most effective tools for improving health, function and quality of life.
At Perform EP, we provide personalised exercise programs for people recovering from injury, managing pain, living with disability or looking to improve their physical capacity. Every program is tailored to your individual goals and focuses on building strength, movement quality, mobility, confidence and long-term independence.
Whether your goal is returning to work, keeping up with your family, participating in community activities or improving your overall health, we'll help you move with greater confidence and capability.
We welcome private clients as well as participants accessing services through the NDIS, Medicare GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMP) and WorkCover. Appointments under these funding schemes are billed in accordance with the current pricing schedules and fee guides applicable to each scheme.

Performance focused rehabilitation for active people and athletes.
Successful rehabilitation is more than simply healing an injury, it's about restoring the strength, movement and physical capacity needed to confidently return to sport, work and an active lifestyle.
Working collaboratively with your physiotherapist, surgeon, GP or sports physician where appropriate, we combine evidence-based exercise physiology with strength and conditioning principles to progressively rebuild strength, mobility, balance, power and movement quality.
Using advanced strength and movement assessment technology, we objectively measure your progress throughout rehabilitation. This allows us to make informed decisions, identify areas requiring further development and help determine when you're physically ready to progress.
Our goal is simple: to help you return stronger, more resilient and better prepared than before your injury.

Exercise can play a powerful role in building confidence, independence and participation in everyday life.
At Perform EP, we work with children, adolescents and adults living with disability to improve strength, movement skills, balance, coordination and overall physical capacity. Sessions are individually tailored to help participants develop the skills and confidence needed to engage more fully in school, sport, recreation and their local community.
Our programs focus on building lifelong movement skills through enjoyable, evidence-based exercise while working towards meaningful NDIS goals, including greater independence, improved functional capacity and increased participation in everyday activities.
Where appropriate, we work collaboratively with families, support coordinators and other healthcare professionals to ensure exercise forms part of a coordinated approach to achieving participant goals.

Client Reviews
“I’ve been training with John McIntosh for over a year now, and I can honestly say his expertise, knowledge, and approach are next level. The results I’ve achieved through our one-on-one sessions and his tailored programs have not only improved my overall strength and conditioning but have also significantly elevated my surfing ability.
John is a true professional with an incredible understanding of the human body, fitness, rehabilitation, and injury recovery. What sets him apart is his genuine care for his clients and the fact that he leaves his ego at the door. He takes the time to understand your individual needs and creates a program that delivers real results.
I am truly grateful for everything John has helped me achieve physically over the past year. If you’re looking to improve your strength, recover from injury, enhance your performance, or simply work with someone who genuinely cares, I couldn’t recommend John highly enough.”
— Trent W“I've been working with John for around 18 months following a life-changing surgery, and I honestly can't recommend him highly enough.
From day one, John took the time to understand my situation and created personalised rehabilitation programs that were tailored to my recovery and goals. As my strength and confidence have improved, he's continually adapted my training to keep me progressing safely while challenging me to achieve more than I thought I could.
John is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and genuinely cares about his clients. He takes the time to explain the "why" behind everything we do, and it's clear he's invested in helping people achieve the best possible outcomes.
Looking back at where I started compared to where I am today, I know I wouldn't be in this position without John's support, encouragement and expertise. If you're looking for an exercise physiologist who truly cares and knows how to get the best out of you, I couldn't recommend John more highly.”
